COO & Head of Investor Relations
Story
I grew up on a dirt road in a small Vermont town with a population of 3,500 and a blinking light that marked the town center. After taking as many AP classes as I could and doing too many extracurricular activities, I was incredibly lucky that Duke accepted me in their class of 2005.
With Vermont in the review mirror, I was so excited to be around people who wanted more.Graduation brought me to New York City when the stock market was hitting new peaks, and big banks were hiring starry eyed undergrads who were willing to work 100 hour weeks. After getting my training at Goldman Sachs at its highs and Citigroup at its lows, I moved to a short selling hedge fund as a retail analyst where we hoped stocks went down, not up.
Careers are never linear, and my next stop (and hopefully last) was Boston where I switched to investor relations / marketing and used both my brain and my selling skills. I picked the lucky straw again and joined Altimeter as their first IR person before it was a well known name. Hyperplane is now my work home, and I'm surrounded by people who care deeply about each other and who dare to look around the corner before it's consensus.
My biggest joy in life is my two children Aidan and Ava who inspire and humble me every day. I am so grateful to be their mother.
